Great lunch in Glasgow: Kember & Jones

I recently visited Scotland for a work visit to the bareMinerals Glasgow boutique and fell in love with the city.

I only spent one night and day there as Marc, some friends and I were heading off to Loch Lomond (via The Devil’s Pulpit) but I had such a good time, especially watching live blues music in The Howling Wolf underground bar, shopping in the Galleries and discovering the cool shops and bars along Byers Road.

In fact it was along Byers Road that we discovered Kember & Jones, a cafe/deli/bookshop complete with Instagrammable subway tiles.

After being enticed in by the bread and cake displays, we decided to grab some lunch. I went for the tuna nicoise salad (huge and such good value), Marc went for an Italian style sandwich (amazing bread) and we shared some of the most delicious hummous I’ve had in a long while!

The whole time we were there it was constantly busy which is good testament to this fab cafe. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the area – just give yourself enough time to decide which cake you want to take away with you…

Has anyone got any other recommendations of where to eat/drink/visit in Glasgow?
