Prettiest Places for a Drink In London

I don’t know whether it’s the fact that the sun is coming back or the fact that in a week I will be on holiday (I CAN’T WAIT!!) but suddenly everywhere in London looks particularly pretty at the minute.

With this in mind, I thought I’d do a roundup of some of my favourite prettiest places for a drink in London (because it doesn’t have to be all smog and Brexit-depression):

Dalloway Terrace

Dalloway Terrace, a newish restaurant to join the Bloomsbury scene, has had mixed reviews over its food but is such a pretty spot to have a coffee, a glass of wine or just to pitch up with your laptop for an hour. Think canopies of fairy lights, winding vines and soft blankets thrown over bistro chairs.

Hamyard Hotel

This Soho hotel is huge, so big in fact that not only does it have a beautiful green rooftop, buzzing bar area and pretty conservatory but it also has a bowling alley downstairs! You can often find media types and the occasional famous face here.

The Ivy Chelsea Garden

Such a pretty restaurant on the King’s Road, the Ivy Chelsea Garden has the most gorgeous conservatory and garden area that would work for both a girly brunch or an evening wine date.

100 Wardour St

This huge restaurant/bar opened in Soho last year and has already played host to plenty of high profile parties. I visited with a friend one Friday and we sat in the airy front part of the restaurant underneath fresh flowers sipping on delicious happy hour cocktails – not a bad way to start the weekend.

Pergola on the Roof

A summer pop-up by Shepherd’s Bush, West London, Pergola on the Roof‘s pretty rooftop space is decorated with a canopy of flowers, hosts tasty food stalls AND takes table reservations! Great for a summer birthday party or gathering.

Berners Tavern

Part of the gorgeous London Edition Hotel, the first thing you notice when you walk into Berners Tavern is the striking floor-ceiling yellow back-lit bar. That is until you notice all of the grand paintings adorning the wood panelled room. You can eat here or simply rock up without a reservation for the bar area for snacks and drinks.

St James Park

Most parks in London are pretty stunning – Hyde Park and Victoria Park are firm favourites but St James Park has to take the top spot! Offering beautiful views across to the London Eye, it is a perfect spot to take a couple of plastic glasses, some fizz and enjoy a cheap date.

That’s just a small selection for now but do let me know if you can recommend any other pretty spots for drinks in London!
