Review: bareMinerals Dirty Detox Mud Mask

bareMinerals Dirty Detox mask

This September sees the launch of a fab new skincare product from bareMinerals – the glorious green goop that is the bareMinerals Dirty Detox Skin Glowing and Refining Mud Mask.

As I currently work in the PR team for bareMinerals it means I usually get to try the new product launches and I had to give a shout-out to this one as it is such a lovely pamper product.

It is enriched with charcoal and 4 mineral-rich clays which help to detoxify and rebalance the skin, ideal for when you feel like your skin is in need a bit of a pick-me-up. I like using it for 10 minutes once a week as it helps to brighten, clarify and smooth my skin without making it feel dry, tight or red (something that can happen often with my sensitive, fair skin).

I find that the easiest way to remove the mask is to wipe it off with a flannel or muslin cloth first and then splash the face with cold water but do be warned, as it is such a dark green colour it will make any white towels look grubby quite quickly! (There is a black cloth you can buy alongside the mask if you were worried about this).

Another mask I love for its brightening effects (and the fact that it lasts forever) is the cult REN Glycoalactic Radiance Renewal Mask and if a scrub exfoliator is more your thing, I also LOVE the Frank Body Coffee Scrub and the St Tropez Prep & Maintain Tan Enhancing Polish.

Any other good pampering products and/or masks you would recommend?
