One of the first things I wanted to do when I arrived in New York was to walk the Brooklyn Bridge.
I had heard that it was a really cool way to see the city skyline and also that it was a great way to get to Dumbo, an area of Brooklyn that was originally a ferry landing and where you can find this iconic shot:
The walk over Brooklyn Bridge is probably twenty minutes in total but took us a little longer as we kept stopping to take photos of the views…
Once we got to the end of the Bridge in Brooklyn, we took a left, headed down the stairs and made our way to the waterfront where you can see this stunning view of Manhattan:

I would thoroughly recommend walking across the Brooklyn Bridge if you ever visit New York, it was a fantastic way to see the city and a cheap one too!
